Antipodes are an all natural skincare brand from New Zealand, who I only just discovered earlier this year, as so many bloggers have raved about their Aura Manuka Honey Mask, which admittedly found its way into my skincare regime rather quickly. This is because it lives up to the hype, and has never failed to leave my skin feeling noticeable softer! So when I discovered that this week (8th-14th September) is actually Organic Beauty Week, I couldn't think of a better company than Antipodes to feature for the occasion.

Hosanna Intensive Hydrating Skin-Plumping Serum
I'll be honest with you and say that I was a little... Worried? About trying out the serum at first, as I was expecting it to be quite oily and I hate putting oils on my face. I do use serums quite often, but the packaging threw me off as the serums I usually use have pumps instead of a dropper, so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of consistency... But I was pleasantly surprised to find out the serum is water based and my skin absorbs the solution sooo fast, leaving my skin feeling noticeably softer, even on the driest areas of my face (woop combination skin) and leaving no residue behind - which I was afraid of. You honestly only need 2 or 3 drops to cover all of your face, leaving it feeling so soft and hydrated. It's not like those products that only make your skin feel soft for a short period after application, I could still feel how soft it had made my skin the following day! In terms of plumping, I couldn't tell a difference on my skin type, but as I'm only 20 years old it may not take it's full effect. This doesn't bother me in the slightest, as the moisturising qualities are so sky high that I'm going to continue using it in my night time skincare regime anyway. The scent however... I'm not too keen on but I always follow my serums with a moisturiser so it's a small price to pay.

Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream
You can honestly never beat a good day cream, they set your skin up ready for the day ahead! However this day cream is a tad thicker than what you would expect from your standard day cream, but the consistency is still lovely all the same. Like with the serum my skin absorbed the cream quickly and my face felt touch-ably softer in an instant, leaving no residue on the skin. The scent is also so gorgeous, which I'm assuming is from the sweet almond, either way I just want to lather all of it on to my face... But in reality you only need a pea sized amount to moisturise your whole face, meaning it will last you so long and helps justify the price tag! That being said, 20 year old Emma sees nothing wrong with spending a lot of money on face creams, but old younger, pre-job me still screams a little bit inside, in a good way, when I make big spends... Is it only me who gets that?

I do feel that with using organic skincare products, you do get what you pay for. I also feel like the effects last longer than your bog standard skincare products. Like don't get me wrong, I've tried a lot of non-organic skincare which I have loved, but the effects seem wear off quickly no matter how amazing it was if you don't keep it up every single day. We're only human, we will miss out our skincare routine sometimes, or reach for a make up wipe instead of our micellar water... So it's nice to have long-lasting products that!
