10 Minute Makeup Routine4.9.15
I simply start off by applying the Nip + Fab Dragons Blood Serum as a part of my usual daily skincare routine. Even on those lazy, make up-less days you still need to be at least caring for your skin! But instead of following my usual routine, where before I even think of applying my make up I follow the serum up with moisturiser, then a primer, and then make up, I actually use the Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser instead, as it is still a moisturiser my skin is still getting the benefits of a moisturiser but is also acting as a foundation, therefore helping reduce my prep time.
Even when I'm in a rush, one thing I cannot live without is contouring. I have quite a rounded face so I find contouring really works a treat for me! But obviously when you're in a rush you can't be using separate highlighting and bronzing products, so a 2 in 1 is allways the best way to go. A favourite of mine is the Barry M Contour Palette, as I love the highlighting powder! So much so that I've already hit pan, and the other two contouring shades aren't even close yet... It's simply a light, matte powder but it really does the trick.
Once my base is finished I lightly use Rimmel's Brow Pencil to outline my brows, then gently fill them in after shaping. I find that it's quite vital that the pencil is used light handedly, as it can be quite full on if used too heavy handed and there's definitely a very fine line between Sharpie looking brows and brows which are on point...
The most time consuming part of my routine is actually my lips, and if you've been reading my blog for a while you will know that I've never been too hot on lipsticks until I started experimenting with them earlier on in the year. But I begin by lining my lips with the Whirl Lip Liner by MAC and followed by their Velvet Teddy Lipstick - which is currently my favourite lip combo, and has been for a few months now. I'm absolutely loving those 90s' pink/nude lips right now (well, also the past couple of months - but the love is still going strong).
Last but not least is what is usually my favourite part of my make up, but when I'm in a rush I actually spend the least amount of time on, which is my eyes. I have always been for enhancing my eyes as I truly believe they are my best feature, but ever since investing in eyelash extensions I've found myself not needing anywhere near as much eye make up as I used to. On some days I simply just rub Color Tattoo On and On Bronze on my lids and blend it out so it doesn't look too chunky, which literally only takes a minute - if that...
